Department of Journalism and Media Studies Hosts Chief Operating Officer of Multimedia Group
The Department of Journalism and Media Studies, School of Communication and Media Studies (SCMS), University of Education, Winneba (UEW) on Wednesday 30th March, 2022, hosted Mr. Ken Ansah, Chief Operating Officer of Multimedia Group Limited for its seminar series.
The seminar organised for graduate students in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies took place in the conference room of the SCMS. It was under the theme “Financial Management of Media Organisations”.
In his presentation, Mr. Ken Ansah, highlighted key issues in managing a media organisation, how content is created, creating content geared towards a particular audience, what right advertisement to use for the right show, and finally the whole financial management of media organisations.
He went on to say that the shows they broadcast on their stations go through a lot of painstaking work for perfection and that when students enter the profession, they need not just think about putting content out there, but also about making sure that the content is worthwhile to attract viewers.
Head, Department of Journalism and Media, Dr. Gifty Appiah-Adjei, expressed gratitude to Mr. Ken Ansah, for honouring the invitation and implored students to take away useful lessons from Mr. Ansah's extensive professional experience.
